Old School Gym

An old-school, hardcore gym like The Body Shop in Milford MA built many monsters and strong men. This was the place where people got down to business, that is lifting and didn’t worry about what the current science book on training was teaching.

Just Lift!

Stop with all the chitter chatter of this science says this, this book says this and get in the gym, training hall, garage, basement, barn or outside and JUST LIFT.

How hard is that?

Isn’t that the whole reason we started training anyway? I know one of the reasons I started lifting was to get strong and vent frustration. Now the “new school” way of thought is to debate back and forth about who is better, what book is the best, what method is the best, this has science behind it, well that book does not blah blah blah. There is more incessant running of the pie hole than there is working out.

It's like we are surrounded by a bunch of wimps.

Where did all the “Iron-Heads” go?

I’m talking about the guys who didn’t care about if they took their pre-workout drink or had their needed 6 meals per day. These hardcore men went in the gym no matter how little sleep they had or how bad the weather was (New England weather can be rough) and they lifted heavy weights and got after it.

Now many of these gym goers act like they're as soft as a teddy bear and would be better suited to sucking on their thumbs in their safe space.

If you have any gusto left hanging between your legs get in the gym, keep things simple, and beat the dust off the iron that is sitting in the corner probably under some dust bunnies.

Let the wimps play on their phones while sitting on their asses while you build strength and muscle.

Remember...strength is good and weakness is evil.

Machine out.
